Alzheimer's 2006
Termite invaded wooden object, silver, white ant clay
157x75x45 cm

Alzheimer’s resembles a bhoota figure, typically carved around coastal Karnataka in
South India. People worship these protective spirits that are feared arbiters of justice and
guardians against evil. Tallur used termites and white ants to erode parts of a discarded
wooden bhoota sculpture, disguising it as an antique fragment with silver entrails that hint
at its digested and decayed veneer.
